About

A dream come true...

It was all there in me since my childhood but had no idea about it till I started working professionally in this field. Had a very rich ancestral gift in the form of language skills from my late father, Shri Sampatrao Jadhavrao, who worked at ‘Daily Sakal’, a renowned daily newspaper in Maharashtra. Saw him work on varied types of translations at home, wildly debated on choice of words many a time. Got the knowledge without attending any formal education, ingrained these skills at home itself. Hunger for extensive reading kept the ‘ray of light’ tickling all these years.

In March 1995, joined a well-known corporate publishing house in Pune. Handled various types of assignments like, to name a few, Corporate Brochures, Mailers, Leaflets, Calendars, Wage Agreements, Charter of Demands, Occupational Health & Safety documents, Code of Conducts, ISO/EMS/OHSAS documents, Memorandum of Understanding, etc. Even got to translate a FIR (with gory details) of an employee who died on duty in an unfortunate road accident. All in a days work!

After a long and seamless spell of 21+ years in publishing, and taking inspiration from Government of India’s initiative – ‘Start-up India, Stand-up India’, decided to set-up an own entity armed with rich professional experience of people and language! Being an avid trekker and with an incessant drive for exploring our beautiful country, ‘Sindbaad’ is what came to my mind in a flash when the question of my new venture’s name arose. Hope you afford me a chance to prove our mettle!
